Head of Finance / CFO (Milan Based)
We are looking for a Head of Finance / CFO to lead our financial function as we scale.
This role is critical in ensuring financial rigor, operational efficiency, and strategic support, particularly as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Build and scale a robust finance function to support company growth
- Oversee cash flow management and financial performance monitoring
- Support and lead fundraising activities (investor relations, data room, financial storytelling)
- Provide strategic financial insights to the leadership team and board
- Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and reporting standards
- Partner with leadership on scaling decisions, hiring plans, and cost management
- Manage external stakeholders (auditors, investors, advisors)
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior finance role
- Experience in high-growth or scaling companies (startup/scale-up environment preferred)
- Strong experience supporting or leading fundraising rounds
- Solid understanding of financial modeling and key performance SaaS metrics
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally
- Background in fintech or technology companies is a plus
